Bank statement to CSV
Clean CSV with Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Amount and Balance columns.
The CSV format
Each row has Date (YYYY-MM-DD), Description, Debit, Credit, Amount (credit minus debit) and Balance when the statement shows one. It's UTF-8 with a byte-order mark so Excel opens accents correctly, and cells that start with = + − or @ are escaped to block spreadsheet formula injection.
Works for imports into QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, FreshBooks, YNAB, Actual, Google Sheets and most budgeting apps.
Questions
Is my bank statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and read inside your browser with pdf.js. Your transactions never reach our servers or anyone else's. Check your browser's Network tab while converting.
Which banks does it work with?
Any statement that is a real (text) PDF with a transaction table: date, description, and either one amount column or separate debit and credit columns, with or without a running balance. That covers most US and Canadian banks and credit cards. Scanned statements need OCR, which is in Pro.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Every row is checked against the statement's running balance (opening balance + credits − debits). Rows that don't add up are highlighted so you can fix them in the grid before exporting.
