Convert RBC Royal Bank statements to CSV & Excel
Download your RBC Royal Bank statement as a PDF, drop it here and get a spreadsheet.
Getting the PDF
Sign in to RBC Royal Bank online banking, open Statements (sometimes under Documents or eStatements), choose the month and download the PDF. Use that file rather than a screenshot or printed copy: it contains the exact text, so it converts exactly.
About the RBC Royal Bank layout
RBC chequing statements have Date, Description, Cheques & Debits, Deposits & Credits and Balance columns. The date appears only on the first transaction of each day and the balance only at the end of the day, which the converter handles.
If a RBC Royal Bank statement doesn't convert cleanly, email a redacted sample to hello@rt-tech.ca and we'll add support. Choose CAD as the currency before exporting QBO or OFX.

Questions
Is my bank statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and read inside your browser with pdf.js. Your transactions never reach our servers or anyone else's. Check your browser's Network tab while converting.
Which banks does it work with?
Any statement that is a real (text) PDF with a transaction table: date, description, and either one amount column or separate debit and credit columns, with or without a running balance. That covers most US and Canadian banks and credit cards. Scanned statements need OCR, which is in Pro.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Every row is checked against the statement's running balance (opening balance + credits − debits). Rows that don't add up are highlighted so you can fix them in the grid before exporting.
